Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers.

How much is the internal storage, and can I increase the memory?

The T3 Gemstone O1 features a quite fast internal 32 GB eMMC storage to ensure your operating system and basic projects run smoothly. To practically increase the storage capacity, there is an SD card slot on the board. Additionally, thanks to the M.2 port on the board, you can vastly expand your storage capacity and flexibly enhance your hardware's capabilities by installing NVMe SSDs or various other compatible add-on modules.

What are the power requirements of the board, and how should I power it?

The T3 Gemstone O1 has two separate power inputs suitable for different usage scenarios: USB Type-C Power Input (5–9 V / 3 A) offers USB Power Delivery (PD) support fully compatible with modern systems and is designed as the primary power input for general desktop use, light software development, and standard IoT projects. DC Power Connector (5–12 V / 5 A) is a stable, high-current-capacity alternative designed for industrial applications, high-power add-on modules, motor drivers, or scenarios where the board is under full load (AI models active and the M.2 NVMe SSD working intensively).

Can I run Artificial Intelligence models on the T3 Gemstone O1?

Thanks to its high processing power and optimized Linux infrastructure, you can run popular deep-learning frameworks like TensorFlow Lite, ONNX, and Apache TVM at full performance on the T3 Gemstone O1 — especially for image processing, object detection, and classification models. You can easily run custom AI models trained with your own datasets on the board in accordance with Edge AI principles.

Can the T3 Gemstone O1 Development Board be used as a flight controller?

Yes. The T3 Gemstone O1 Development Board is a development board based on the AM67A processor that runs Linux-based ArduPilot flight software; therefore, it can be used as a flight controller in drone and robotics projects. The board is equipped with the necessary hardware for a flight controller, such as an IMU, barometer, GPS interfaces, PWM servo outputs, and CANbus. Additionally, the 4 TOPS AI accelerators of the AM67A support advanced features like vision-based navigation and obstacle avoidance.
